Monaro Performance Centre have been involved in a number of tarmac rally events in recent times, from Targa Tasmania and Targa New Zeland to Holden vs Ford Challenge and Mt Buller Sprints. In the Targa events MPC have been teamed up with high profile drivers like Peter Brock, Steve Richards and Cameron McConville. While the vehicle types have varied greatly over the years (from the Brock Torana XU1 in '99, to an SS Ute in '01, the class winning McConville Astra Turbo in '03 and of course a number of Monaros over the years) the results have been consistent and outstanding. MPC have profided management and service crews for all these events and often built the race cars from scratch. MPC have also produced great results in other categories, including a win in the 2004 Holden vs Ford Challenge for the Brock/Richards Monaro, and a 2nd place in the 2004 Mt Buller Sprint. |
